Everything You Wanted to Know About the Back

As an MD specializing in the management of spinal pain I am rarely impressed by books of this genre.
Consider me VERY impressed with Dr. Corenman's treatment of the subject. This is a "must have" book for anyone who has ever experienced low back pain, or knows someone who has.
The author has distilled the essentials of low back pain into a straightforward and highly readable text. The information is presented in a clear, succinct yet complete, and accessible fashion.
For me, reading this book was like having a conversation with someone who knows their area of expertise so well they make complicated information seem simple, and ultimately tell you what you really need to know.

Everything You wanted to know about your back:

This book about the lower back is excellently written and exceptionally informative. I am a physician who cares for patients with back pain. I enjoyed this book from a professional standpoint, but also feel that it would be a great read for any one of us who has ever experienced low back pain (and that would probably be most of us). I would recommend this book highly.

Wish I'd read this sooner.

This book explained the issues with my back in a way that none other ever has. I've tried all the excercise books and read so much about back issues in the past, usually feeling guilty a the end as if I were still in pain because I didn't follow their directions well enough. Not so with this book. It is clear, concise, and gave me the information I needed to understand what I was experiencing. The advice regarding choosing a sugeon if you needed one was also extremely valuable. I had the privilege of having the author of this book also perform the surgery I'd put off for so many years, but I feel that if I'd had to chose another physician, I was given the tools to evaluate the options. A must read if you are suffering.
