About the Author
Jodi Parmley is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, born into a family of physicians spanning two generations. She graduated with honors from Charity Hospital School of Nursing. After working, teaching and writing for ten years as a registered nurse, she put her career aside to care for her son who began having seizures at four months old. Her divorce from an attorney became final after twenty years of marriage.

A completely different story then the title states

I have also gone through a recent messy divorce myself. I was hoping to read something about financial infidelity which the book barely speaks about. Just a few sentences in the entire book that mention the author's name was forged on documents. But I wanted to hear the story- what kind of documents, what legal battles pursued, what specifically became of your finances before and after this revelation? Or possibly tell the reader about the extremely flawed judges and family court system in St Tammany Parish which will make your head spin and be quite the page turner. Some of that is mentioned in this book but in far less detail then personal events are described.
I live in the greater New Orleans area (Northshore) and I was able to figure out all the people, churches, places, and such that the author was speaking about. The story does tell somewhat interesting biographical story of a journey in a divorced life. It was sort of like a newsstand gossip read for me that I enjoyed for that not so admirable reason. Entertaining to read on those merits but I would have titled and framed it completely differently.

Jodi has written a book with honesty and sincerity about financial infidelity. She pours her heart and soul into F.I.F.I. Her voice is loud and clear as she shares her experiences for others to learn from her past situation.

Excellent read with nice glance of New Orleans too!

Great book, good read. Excellent story and plot. You don't have to be a victim of financial infidelity to enjoy this book. However, reader beware! Many women allow their husbands/boyfriends to have the power of the purse in the marriage/relationship. This book should make you aware that you MUST be in the loop of all financial matters in any relationship. Even if you think you are with an honest soulmate, you might be surprised that there are skeletons in ALL closets. I have experienced many women, losing their significant other, only to find a web of financial disaster left behind. Read this book. Don't be financially obtuse when it comes to any man that says he will 'handle' the finances.
