Love the Book / The Windows App is horrible

The GRE exam is definitely not the type of standardized test that most American students are used to. They ask conceptual questions that must be answered within 30-second increments. You aren't performing calculations like you do in a math class. I have now taken the GRE twice and have used this book along with the book published by ETS (the creator of the GRE exam). This book really breaks concepts down and is very helpful in teaching concepts, along with helpful shortcuts, that you may not already know. Even though written by the test creator, the ETS book was okay for the practice exams, but not great at teaching.
Cons for this product: Windows App: The practice tests are difficult to find online. I tried the web addresses listed in the book without finding the site. I kept getting Error 404. Finally, I did something and found the practice tests; however, they were not formatted like the actual GRE exam AT ALL. Plus, there is no online calculator like you use on the actual GRE. In addition, some of the test question pages are cut off, so you don't have all of your answer choices. I gave up on this product after only a few minutes. It was really frustrating.

I purchased this book at the recommendation of a friend. It's been years since I've taken a standardized test or done any math, so I needed something that would give a me a comprehensive overview of the important math topics on the exam. This book is exactly what I was looking for. I'm halfway through and already feel more confident with GRE math. I particulary like the fact that GRE strategies are interspersed throughout the book, so I'm able to get a sense of how I'll be expected to use what I learn. Definitely recommend!
