The recipes are classic versions made vegan. Please be ...

The recipes are classic versions made vegan. Please be aware before purchasing that this is a European book, so the recipes use weight measurements. I suggest using a small kitchen scale, but you can also look up conversions online. Another thing to keep in mind is that Eastern European cooking relies heavily on dairy so the author chose to replace these ingredients with vegan cheeses, soy products, etc. Fresh vegetables were not always a common part of Eastern European meals. This book is not for you if you prefer to avoid vegan dairy ingredients. The book mainly includes recipes and does not offer commentary or photos.

Disappointed.....

The author uses soy versions to replace dairy in recipes. I am not a fan of processed food....even vegan processed food. So, this book was not one of my favorites.
