About the Author
Neil Candelaria is a former prosecutor and retired criminal law judge. He has lived in New Mexico most of his life and currently lives in Albuquerque with his wife Alice. His desire is to help other parents who have suffered the loss of a son or daughter.

Not just a tribute to a son who died. Neil is brutally honest about his relationship with his son and his self awareness of what he could have done to make it better.
Just as important is the 2nd half of the book in which he describes his movement from a rational rejection of an afterlife to a belief in one.

This is such a touching and heartfelt story. The author's openness and honesty about both the good times and the difficult times with Casey is refreshing. Casey's obvious presence in his family's life even after his death is comforting to anyone who has lost a loved one.
